BGB Analytik AG is an innovative company with manufacturing facilities in Au, Adliswil and Boeckten (all in Switzerland), and a branch sales office in Schlossboeckelheim, Germany. The following products are only an overview and should show, what we can do. If you have special needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.

PressFit Connectors and Splitters

PressFit Connectors and Splitters are made out of borosilicate glass to connect two or more capillary columns together. The seal of this connection type is the coating on the outside of the capillary tubing. The polyimide is soft and adhesive. Many applications in Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry are possible.

Deactivated Fused Silica

Deactivated Capillary Tubings are our specialties. We offer special treated tubing for the use as retention gap or transfer line. Best inertness shows the standard phenyl/methyl deactivation. This is the best choice for the most common solvents. For solvents with traces of water the OV-1701OH deactivation should be used. This deactivation is more stable against water or water containing solvents, but less inert than a phenyl/methyl or methyl deactivation.

Each tubing is tested with a Grob Test for best inertness. In contrast to other manufacturers we do check the complete batch and not only some meters of the batch.

Chiral GC Columns

Further we offer a complete range of GC columns for the separation of chiral compounds. Capillary columns with cyclodextrin derivatives can be used for the separation of a broad range of enantiomers. For most of the compounds no specific derivatisation is needed, in some cases a simple acetylation or methylation of polar groups is necessary. To achieve a maximum of separation efficiency and resolution the cyclodextrin derivatives are suspended in midpolar polysiloxanes. These columns are very durable and stable.

The mechanism of chiral recognition is not known in detail. So it's difficult to predict the cyclodextrin that shows the best resolution. This is the reason why we do offer seven different cyclodextrin phases and an application service to find the most convenient column.
